The District Committee Structure

The general service representative (GSR) or if absent the alternate GSR carries information between the homegroup and the district. The GSR (or alternate) is the voice of the group and votes for the homegroup at district meetings. The GSRs of the district are part of the district committee.

A district is part of an area, one of the 93 areas that make up the U.S./Canada General Service Conference. There are districts created by geographical boundaries and there are linguistic districts. District 91 serves the following counties in Area 51 (North Carolina): Northampton, Halifax, Edgecombe, Nash, and Wilson Counties.

The district committee member (DCM) or if absent the alternate DCM carries information between the district and the delegate at area committee meetings and represents the district’s conscience at assemblies.
